CLIFF ZAMMIT WINS HOTSPOT
16-year old Cliff Zammit has won this year's edition of Hotspot which was broadcast on Net Tv every Wednesday since last February. The reality-based show, presented by Hector Bruno and Louise Tedesco gave an opportunity to aspiring singers to be part of the show. Each week, by means of televoting, a participant was eliminated. Last Wednesday's edition saw the three finalists doing their best to present the public with the best they could give. The last programme had six judges, Alison White, Adriana Fenech Yordonova, Andrew Zammit, Philip Vella, Paul Abela and Olivia Lewis. 60% of the voting was given to the pub;lic while the judges voted in 40% of the votes. Cliff Zammit won the scholarship to the Leicester College of Performing Arts. He also won a number of prizes, including a hamper of products from Nivea, a pendent from Brosway Malta as well as other gifts. He will also have a song written especially for him by Andrew Zammit and a video of the same song produced by Net TV. He has also been invited to perform during the Miss Italia Malta show at the Casino di Venezia on Saturday June 11. Eleanor Spiteri and Annabelle Debono placed second and third respectively winning also a number of gifts, including scholarships to Masquerade Theatre Arts School, Alison White Dance Studio, Cynergi gym, as well as songs written specifically for them by Paul Abela and Philip Vella.Hotspot was produced by Frederick Zammit, assisted by Rachel Darmanin Demajo and directed by Chris Farrugia.
